Welcome! My practice is in Sidmouth, East Devon and within easy reach of Honiton, Axminster, Seaton, Lyme Regis, Ottery St Mary, Beer, Branscombe, Budleigh Salterton, Woodbury and Exmouth. I also work online via Skype or Zoom.
It may be a challenge for you to ring or to email me but please be reassured that putting you at ease is a priority and I will be happy to explain how I work and to answer any questions that you have.
There are many reasons why people seek counselling. Whatever it is that has brought you to explore my site, know that I will value you as an individual and respect your right to make your own choices and decisions. I will listen and work alongside you to provide you with the clarity and self-belief to move forward.
Many people experience emotional difficulties at some point in their lives. I offer counselling for individuals of all ages offering short and long term work on the following issues:
My aim is to help you to know yourself, independent from the views of others. This can involve challenging long held beliefs and perceptions and this I do in a supportive, educative and non-judgemental manner.
I believe in creating a warm, safe and confidential environment from which you can explore the difficulties you face, rediscover your strengths and make changes that will improve your life. My aim is to help you to know yourself, independent from the views of others. This can involve challenging long held beliefs and perceptions and this I do in a supportive, educative and non-judgemental manner.
I offer a pluralistic approach to counselling based on the principles of Person Centred Therapy (PCT). I focus on providing the time and space to explore and discuss the issues which may be troubling you. A pluralistic approach means I use different therapeutic approaches in my work alongside you such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory and transactional analysis (TA). During sessions with me you will be able to explore your thoughts and feelings free from concerns of rejection or judgement.
I am a qualified and experienced relationship counsellor. I currently work with individuals of all ages and in all types of intimate partnerships, to recognize and resolve conflicts and improve their relationships.
I work with adults who have disordered eating patterns and those who eat as a means of coping with their emotions.
My aim is to work collaboratively with you to support your practice in a constructive, relaxed learning environment.
